AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Participate in designing and implementing production-level AI solutions utilizing LLMs, transformer-based models, RAG pipelines, and agentic systems.

• Create, develop, and enhance multi-step AI agents that can invoke tools/APIs, manage reasoning chains, and oversee state management.

• Assist with the deployment and optimization of AI-driven applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.

• Contribute to the establishment of best practices for prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring model performance, including aspects like latency, grounding, factuality, and cost.

• Implement guardrails and Responsible AI methodologies, focusing on prompt injection mitigation, content moderation, bias reduction, and safety controls.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product stakeholders to transition AI solutions from prototypes to full-scale production.

• Share expertise and assist fellow engineers in creating high-quality, modular, and maintainable Python code.

• Contribute to experimentation strategies, assist in defining KPIs, and advocate for data-driven decision-making in AI initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience).

• Extensive knowledge of transformer-based models and LLM architectures.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying applied machine learning or generative AI systems within production settings.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, CrewAI, Azure Prompt Flow, AWS Bedrock Agents, or comparable tools.

• Advanced skills in Python and adherence to production-grade coding standards.

• Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and cloud-native architectures.

• Strong leadership abilities, capable of bridging rapid prototyping with scalable production deployment.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a background in the intersection of Data Science and Engineering.
