AI Conversation Recording Contributor, Xhosa

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Capture or collect natural, spontaneous speech in line with the project specifications.

• Engage in or document speech from sanctioned real-life contexts, such as workplace discussions or informal one-on-one conversations.

• Complete individual or pair-based conversational speech tasks, or take part in voice or voice-text interactions with an AI or machine-based system.

• Annotate gathered speech data following the provided guidelines.

• Supply the necessary information and metadata associated with each recording.

• Offer spontaneous speech to aid in the assessment and enhancement of speech recognition and conversational AI technologies.

• Recordings, annotations, and relevant metadata may be evaluated for quality and included in datasets utilized for research, development, testing, and the advancement of AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Xhosa.

• Genuine pronunciation and a strong familiarity with the target language through daily use.

• Advanced English skills to comprehend written instructions.

• Contributors must refrain from mimicking dialects or accents that are not their own.

• Experience in speech recording or data annotation projects is beneficial but not mandatory.

• High attention to detail while providing annotations and recording metadata.

• Capability to adhere to detailed project and recording instructions.

• A quiet room or recording space with minimal background noise.

• A computer microphone or headset with a microphone.
