AI Conversation Recording Contributor – Lingala

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Record or gather natural, spontaneous speech in accordance with project guidelines.

• Engage in or capture speech from approved real-life scenarios, such as workplace dialogues or casual one-on-one conversations.

• Complete individual or two-person conversational speech tasks, or participate in voice interactions with an AI or machine-based system.

• Annotate the collected speech data following the provided instructions.

• Supply necessary information and metadata related to each recording.

• Aid in the evaluation and development of speech recognition and conversational AI technologies through spontaneous speech recordings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Lingala.

• Authentic pronunciation and a strong familiarity with Lingala through everyday use.

• Advanced proficiency in English to comprehend written instructions.

• Must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own.

• Experience with speech recording or data annotation projects is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Strong attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata.

• Ability to adhere to detailed project and recording instructions.

• A quiet room or recording space with minimal background noise.

• A computer microphone or headset with a microphone.

• A reliable internet connection.

• Capability to access and utilize an online recording platform.
