AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Establish the enterprise AI architecture, technical strategy, standards, and solution frameworks.

• Create scalable AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions for intricate healthcare and enterprise scenarios.

• Oversee architecture and technical design processes from proof of concept to production deployment.

• Assess AI/ML models, platforms, frameworks, and cloud services based on both business and technical needs.

• Develop solutions utilizing LLMs, generative AI, NLP, machine learning, and intelligent automation.

• Formulate architectural approaches for RAG, enterprise search, knowledge management, and AI-driven applications.

• Craft secure integration patterns among AI capabilities, enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and cloud environments.

• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to develop data architecture for AI initiatives.

• Offer architectural direction for MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management.

• Create reusable AI architecture patterns, frameworks, and technical standards.

• Ensure AI solutions comply with federal security, privacy, accessibility, data governance, and regulatory mandates.

• Engage in architecture reviews, technical evaluations, and solution design discussions.

• Work alongside cybersecurity teams to recognize and mitigate AI implementation risks.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI/ML engineers, data scientists, developers, and other technical staff.

• Translate complex AI concepts and architectural recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Advocate for responsible AI practices, including governance, transparency, security, and human oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar technical field.

• Over 7 years of progressive technology experience, including extensive work in enterprise solution or cloud architecture.

• Proven track record in architecting AI/ML solutions within complex enterprise settings.

• Experience in designing and executing machine learning and generative AI solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of LLMs, NLP, machine learning, data engineering, and contemporary AI architecture.

• Familiarity with public cloud AI/ML platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Understanding of APIs, microservices, enterprise integration patterns, and distributed systems.

• Proficient in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.

• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Strong grasp of cloud security, identity and access management, and data protection principles.

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Capability to satisfy relevant federal background investigation requirements.
