AI Application Engineer – Azure OpenAI Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain RAG solutions and conversational assistants utilizing Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, embedding stores, and vector databases in production environments.

• Develop and enhance prompts for LLMs, employing prompt engineering techniques such as prompt chaining, few-shot learning, system messages, and iterative evaluation of outcomes.

• Create data ingestion and retrieval pipelines: extraction, cleaning, transformation, embedding generation, semantic index construction, and orchestration of RAG queries.

• Integrate AI into software architectures by defining APIs, microservices, and deployment patterns (CI/CD, containers, infrastructure as code) within Azure environments.

• Assess and monitor the quality and security of model responses (testing, metrics, alerts), mitigating biases, hallucinations, and privacy risks.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (product, design, engineering, legal) to align AI solutions with business objectives and user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of experience with Azure OpenAI Services.

• Advanced prompt engineering experience (design, evaluation, optimization).

• Practical experience with LLMs in real-world scenarios (generation, analysis, automation).

• Fluent English (reading and technical communication) is essential.
