Agronomy Co-Op/Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with regional agronomists and local personnel to pinpoint trial sites, assess below- and above-ground plant features, and document processes and outcomes through photographs or video.

• Guarantee the accuracy and thoroughness of electronic records pertaining to test sites and treatments.

• Aid in research functions related to field plots by gathering and documenting detailed field data for Mosaic Biosciences North America.

• Contribute to additional initiatives, which may involve some interaction with accounts in a sales context.

• Occasionally travel overnight to various locations for data collection and service responsibilities.

• Maintain communication with staff across the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespeople, and contractors.

• Engage in department and project-specific meetings.

• Uphold Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles, priorities, and key competencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently a sophomore or higher by May 2027, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Education, Agronomy, or a related discipline.

• Minimum GPA of 2.75.

• Preferred 1-2 years of experience through volunteering, involvement with student/school organizations, or work experience.

• Previous internship or cooperative education experience is a plus.

• Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

• Ability to work full-time while maintaining student status during the co-op/internship period.

• Selected candidates must successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, a background check, a physical exam, and a functional capacity evaluation.

• Basic computer proficiency is required.

• Experience in a team-oriented environment is essential.

• Strong verbal communication skills are advantageous.

• Physical work conditions may include occasional outdoor settings with exposure to varying temperatures.

• Must be capable of safely executing the essential job functions without posing a direct risk to oneself or others.

• Ability to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally.

• Must be able to climb stairs and work at various heights.

• Ability to distinguish between different colors, patterns, or materials.

• Must have adequate hearing, with or without correction.

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic English.

• Vision capabilities, with or without correction, are required.

• Proficiency in fine motor skills is necessary.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
