Agile Project Manager – Product Delivery

Posted Jul 30

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Act as the operational backbone and communication link for Unifin's product delivery organization.

• Coordinate and facilitate sprint planning sessions, ensuring that stories are prepared, dependencies are clear, and teams commit to realistic goals.

• Lead daily standups (or asynchronous alternatives) for both development teams, identifying and escalating blockers on the same day.

• Facilitate sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement sessions, documenting action items and promoting continuous improvement.

• Manage follow-ups from sprint retrospectives to ensure commitments are monitored and completed.

• Create, maintain, and refine epics, stories, and tasks based on business requirements—ensuring clear acceptance criteria and 'ready' status prior to sprint planning.

• Enforce consistent tagging, labeling, and status tracking across all projects and teams to facilitate accurate reporting.

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver real-time visibility into project status, velocity, burndown, and cycle time.

• Generate weekly or bi-weekly status reports for leadership (Product Team Committee) concerning progress, risks, and upcoming releases.

• Regularly audit story structure and completeness, collaborating with teams to enhance estimation and clarity.

• Keep a real-time log of dependencies, risks, and blockers across all active projects.

• Relentlessly follow up on blockers—escalating to the appropriate owner and tracking time-to-resolution (expect to follow up multiple times with different individuals until resolution).

• Identify trends in blockers and highlight them for process improvement.

• Serve as the escalation point between teams and leadership when blockers need decision-making beyond the team level.

• Be tenacious—if an issue lacks an owner or resolution after 24 hours, follow up again.

• Act as the central communication hub between the two development teams, ensuring clarity in handoffs and no gaps in understanding.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and the dissemination of best practices across teams.

• Maintain a shared overview of all ongoing projects, dependencies, and timelines visible to all stakeholders.

• Early identification and communication of conflicts, overlaps, or misalignments in project planning to the Product Team Committee.

• Promote cross-functional collaboration by linking compliance, operations, development, and leadership in structured discussions.

• Oversee the planning, sequencing, and communication of releases across all products and projects.

• Coordinate with teams on release readiness, testing approvals, and deployment scheduling.

• Manage release schedules and roadmaps—ensuring that realistic timelines and dependencies are understood.

• Track and communicate release status to leadership and stakeholders.

• Schedule and organize all product delivery meetings, ensuring agile ceremonies occur on schedule.

• Manage meeting agendas, capture action items and decisions, and distribute notes promptly.

• Protect team time by enforcing meeting discipline and consolidating communication (minimizing ad-hoc interruptions).

• Facilitate discussions among compliance, operations, and development teams when requirements impact delivery timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of practical experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or in a comparable role (or equivalent demonstrated expertise in agile delivery coordination).

• Proven track record of conducting agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement).

• Strong proficiency in Jira: creating/managing epics, stories, tasks; building dashboards; and generating reports.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills—capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across geographically distributed teams or within matrix organizations.

• Experience with sprint planning, capacity planning, and velocity-based forecasting.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and skilled at driving clarity in loosely-defined scenarios.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills; capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Not hesitant to ask clarifying questions repeatedly and persist on follow-ups—possessing resilience and unafraid to send Slack messages/emails.

• Willingness to learn and adapt frequently; comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Scrum Master (CSM) or Product Owner (CSPO) certification is preferred.

• Experience in regulated industries (finance, collections, or compliance-heavy environments)—or in software product delivery within a regulated context.

• Familiarity with collections software platforms, compliance frameworks (FDCPA, GLBA, etc.), or domain knowledge in collections.

• Understanding of AI/ML product delivery or automation project workflows.

• Experience collaborating with distributed or international development teams.

• Proficient in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) beyond basic usage.

• Proven ability to ask insightful questions and drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
