Agile Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee and sustain Agile project management tools that facilitate product backlog management, sprint planning, task tracking, release planning, and sprint reporting.

• Coordinate Agile project initiatives across cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring tasks are organized, prioritized, and aligned with program goals.

• Track project advancement, identify risks, dependencies, impediments, and resource limitations, and collaborate with program leadership to address challenges.

• Keep track of sprint burndown charts, velocity metrics, release readiness indicators, and other Agile performance metrics.

• Create automated dashboards, reports, and project metrics from Government-approved Agile management tools to ensure real-time program performance visibility.

• Work alongside Government stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams to clarify requirements, refine product backlogs, and handle scope changes.

• Ensure traceability between customer requirements, user stories, development tasks, testing processes, and delivered functionalities.

• Facilitate the identification of risks, the planning of mitigations, and the resolution of issues throughout sprint execution and release planning activities.

• Advocate for Agile best practices and ongoing improvement by fostering collaboration, transparency, and efficient delivery processes across the program.

• Assist with release planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile-related activities as necessary.

• Compile project status reports, executive briefings, and performance summaries for program leadership and Government stakeholders.

• Ensure project documentation, schedules, and Agile artifacts are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with program requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• A current Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). Certification must remain valid throughout employment.

• At least **3 years of Agile project management experience** supporting DoD software development or modernization initiatives.

• Proficiency in Agile project management platforms like Jira, Azure DevOps, or other comparable Government-approved tools.

• Experience in managing Agile backlogs, sprint planning, project tracking, and program reporting.

• Strong comprehension of Agile methodologies, Scrum principles, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

• Ability to develop project metrics, dashboards, and executive reports.

• Outstanding organizational, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Active Secret Security Clearance.

• **Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience in supporting U.S. Air Force software development or modernization initiatives.

• Experience in coordinating multiple Agile teams on complex software delivery projects.

• Familiarity with the DoD Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP).

• Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD software delivery environments.

• Knowledge of risk management, requirements traceability, and software release management.

• Proficiency in using Power BI, Jira dashboards, Azure DevOps Analytics, or similar reporting tools.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
