This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• The Data Business Analyst serves as the primary link between client stakeholders and delivery teams involved in data programs and projects.
• Develop comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria by decomposing Epics for integration and reporting scenarios.
• Lead the kickoff meetings for features/data products to ensure alignment with business context and delivery objectives.
• Facilitate estimation sessions and ensure story readiness to aid in sprint planning.
• Collaborate closely with developers and testers to confirm the completion of stories and secure Client approval.
• Work in partnership with technical leads and client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to guarantee that requirements are precise, thorough, and technically attainable.
• Assist the Client in managing and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure it aligns with business objectives.
• Conduct backlog refinement meetings with the team to elucidate requirements, dependencies, and priorities.
• Ensure that stories meet the team's definition of "ready" prior to sprint planning.
• Monitor and communicate the health of the backlog and sprint progress via Agile tools (e.g., Jira).
• Identify and escalate any risks or obstacles affecting backlog items or the flow of delivery.
• Maintain an overview of dependencies and ensure coherence among epics, features, and stories.
• Act as the intermediary between client stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring clear communication of needs and priorities.
• Support stakeholder alignment and facilitate approvals at critical delivery milestones.
• Collaborate effectively with Account Managers, Program and Project Managers, Tech Leads, Developers, and Testers to address client challenges and deliver results.
• Extensive experience as a Data Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments (Scrum or Kanban) for over 10 years.
• Proficient in writing user stories, managing backlogs, and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to link business and technical contexts.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Significant experience in data and analytics projects, encompassing data lineage, transformation, and quality assurance.
• Strong command of SQL.
• Exposure to BI/reporting and Data Warehouse integration scenarios.
• Understanding of medallion data architecture and/or contemporary data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
• Experience in technology consultancy or data transformation initiatives.
• Travel requirements for this position are dictated by client needs, and some travel may be necessary depending on the client.
