• Accountable for the marketing of slag aggregates utilized in construction across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.
• Tasked with direct sales initiatives targeting both new and existing clients within a vast multi-state region.
• Collaborating closely with contractors, governmental bodies, engineering firms, and municipalities to ensure client satisfaction.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers while enhancing Harsco's reputation and visibility as a trusted supplier.
• Represent Harsco’s aggregate products in a responsible and professional manner.
• Meet sales targets for all designated territories.
• Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy for each assigned region.
• Actively promote aggregate products, and recognize potential new products and markets.
• Compile necessary reports in a clear and timely fashion.
• Address inquiries from customers or individuals regarding product characteristics, performance, and limitations.
• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field, or other relevant qualifications.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a field and/or territory sales role, ideally within aggregates, construction, asphalt, or concrete.
• Prior sales responsibilities requiring self-direction and minimal supervision from management.
• A proven history of success in sales and marketing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations both internally and externally.
• Capability to work independently with internal clients and external stakeholders.
• Proven negotiation abilities.
• Competent in presenting information effectively and addressing questions in group settings.
• Familiarity with construction aggregates’ properties, specifications, and applications.
• Understanding of business and commercial contract terms and conditions.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including business P&L statements.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with strategic problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and market data.
