Agentic Systems Engineer, TypeScript, .NET, MCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Break down legacy monolithic systems into modular, agent-readable components with well-defined boundaries and a single responsibility principle.

• Spearhead gradual modernization efforts utilizing the Strangler Pattern along with contract-driven interfaces.

• Uphold SOLID principles, implement Dependency Injection, and apply Hexagonal Architecture.

• Design and sustain the agent context layer featuring standardized Skills, Rules, and Commands.

• Develop and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that transform legacy APIs, services, and databases into secure, typed, AI-friendly tools.

• Take ownership of contract-first API design bridging human intent with autonomous agent execution.

• Evaluate AI-generated pull requests to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Enforce test-driven development (TDD) and characterization testing during code refactoring processes.

• Oversee and enhance agentic reasoning loops, focusing on cost efficiency, speed, and architectural integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or technical leadership roles.

• Demonstrated track record of modernizing extensive, undocumented legacy systems.

• In-depth practical knowledge of TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js.

• Strong expertise in API design, distributed systems, and modular architectures.

• Hands-on experience with agentic development, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted engineering.

• Preference for clean code, deterministic systems, and production-level AI solutions.

• Experience with remote-first or globally distributed teams is a plus.

• Background in SaaS transformations, scale-up environments, or private equity-backed settings is advantageous.

• Comfort in navigating high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments is desirable.
