Agentic Systems Engineer – TypeScript, .NET, MCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Break down legacy monoliths into modular systems that are agent-readable, with clear boundaries and a focus on single responsibility.

• Lead the gradual modernization process utilizing the Strangler Pattern along with contract-driven interfaces.

• Uphold SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Hexagonal Architecture.

• Design and maintain the agent context layer incorporating standardized Skills, Rules, and Commands.

• Develop and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that present legacy APIs, services, and databases as secure, typed, AI-friendly tools.

• Take ownership of contract-first API design that aligns human intent with autonomous agent execution.

• Serve as the architectural gatekeeper for pull requests generated by AI.

• Enforce test-driven development (TDD) and characterization testing throughout the refactoring process.

• Oversee and enhance agentic reasoning loops focusing on cost, speed, and architectural integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or technical leadership.

• Demonstrated success in modernizing large, undocumented legacy systems.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js.

• Solid background in API design, distributed systems, and modular architectures.

• Practical experience with agentic development, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted engineering.

• A strong preference for clean code, deterministic systems, and production-grade AI.

• Experience working with remote-first or globally distributed teams is a plus.

• Background in SaaS transformations, scale-ups, or PE-backed environments is advantageous.

• Comfortable navigating high-ambiguity and high-ownership environments is a plus.

• Ability to work during US morning hours (Scrum).
