Agentic Systems Engineer – TypeScript, .NET, MCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kosovo.

📋 Description

• Break down legacy monolithic systems into modular, agent-readable components that adhere to strict boundaries and single responsibilities.

• Spearhead incremental modernization utilizing the Strangler Pattern while encapsulating legacy logic within modern, contract-driven interfaces.

• Uphold SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Hexagonal Architecture to ensure deterministic AI execution with minimal regression risks.

• Design and manage the agent context layer featuring standardized Skills, Rules, and Commands.

• Develop and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that transform legacy APIs, services, and databases into typed, secure, AI-compatible tools.

• Take ownership of contract-first API design to bridge human intent and autonomous agent execution.

• Serve as the architectural gatekeeper for AI-generated pull requests.

• Enforce test-driven development (TDD) and characterization testing throughout the refactoring process.

• Monitor and enhance agentic reasoning loops, focusing on cost efficiency, speed, and architectural integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or technical leadership.

• Demonstrated success in modernizing large, undocumented legacy systems.

• In-depth, hands-on proficiency with TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js.

• Strong foundation in API design, distributed systems, and modular architectures.

• Practical experience in agentic development, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted engineering.

• A preference for clean code, deterministic systems, and production-ready AI.

• Nice to have: experience working with remote-first or globally distributed teams.

• Nice to have: background in SaaS transformations, scale-ups, or private equity-backed environments.

• Comfort in operating within high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments.

• Must be available during US morning hours (Scrum).
