This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine tenant files to ensure adherence to LIHTC, HUD, and RD program standards.

• Validate household eligibility, income, assets, student status, household makeup, and other program-specific criteria.

• Detect compliance issues and provide precise corrective recommendations.

• Investigate and interpret federal regulations, state agency guidelines, and program directives to address intricate compliance challenges.

• Find and utilize regulatory resources when immediate answers are not available.

• Keep accurate review documentation while fulfilling production and quality standards.

• Engage professionally with internal team members regarding compliance results.

• Stay updated on shifts in affordable housing regulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of direct experience in LIHTC compliance.

• Comprehensive understanding of LIHTC eligibility, income, assets, student rules, and household composition standards.

• Capacity to independently interpret regulations and make well-founded compliance choices.

• Strong research abilities with the skill to swiftly find and apply regulatory guidance from various sources.

• Highly organized with remarkable attention to detail and the capability to maintain focus while reviewing files throughout the workday.

• Comfort in a fully remote, computer-based work environment.

• Proven ability to learn new technologies and efficiently navigate multiple software platforms, online resources, and proprietary systems.

• Outstanding written communication and analytical abilities.

• Tax Credit Certification is mandatory.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

• Experience with HUD and/or Rural Development (RD) compliance is preferred.

• Background in reviewing files across various state housing agencies is preferred.

• Familiarity with state-specific affordable housing regulations is preferred.

• COS, HCCP, or other affordable housing compliance certifications are preferred.

• HCCP certification is preferred.
