Affiliated Board Member – Scientific

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Stay informed about and ensure compliance of the Review Board with regulatory requirements, Advarra’s Board Standard Operating Procedures, and Organizational Policies and Procedures.

• Support the timely execution of core review activities for the Institutional Review Board while maintaining professionalism and adherence to regulations.

• Address inquiries and resolve daily challenges using scientific knowledge and regulatory expertise.

• Assist in the triaging and reviewing of submissions for expedited or full board evaluations.

• Participate in full board meetings and present protocol-related matters as necessary.

• Identify areas needing guidance, discrepancies in Board reviews, and similar concerns to senior regulatory staff.

• Consult with sponsors, investigators, and CROs regarding clinical and regulatory matters.

• Collaborate with Regulatory Leadership to assess membership needs and cultivate Board members.

• Foster accountability through motivation, team building, training, mentoring, collaboration, and respect.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Preferred: One (1)+ years of experience in IRB or the Clinical Research Industry, or at least 3 years’ experience in healthcare within the last 6 years.

• Preferred: Master’s Degree or another graduate-level qualification with a focus on scientific disciplines.

• Strong comprehension of biological and/or pharmacological sciences through education or experience.

• Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, Advarra’s Board Standard Operating Procedures, and Organizational Policies and Procedures.

• Capability to learn and understand basic instructions.

• Strong focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities.

• Effective verbal communication skills, including listening, understanding, responding, and speaking.

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and lower objects weighing up to 10 lbs.

• Ability to remain seated or standing for prolonged periods at a stationary workstation.
