This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership and expand Step's affiliate program on Impact and other pertinent networks, focusing on recruiting and onboarding partners while optimizing commissions, placements, and incentives to enhance customer acquisition costs (CAC).
• Create, launch, and grow the affiliate creator program.
• Negotiate pricing, payout conditions, and deal specifications, managing the review, approval, execution, and documentation of contracts.
• Establish and oversee direct partnerships beyond affiliate networks, from initial outreach to negotiation, program design, and ongoing management.
• Enhance Step's visibility in emerging distribution channels, including AI-driven discovery and recommendation platforms.
• Manage long-term direct partnerships with creators and influencers, focusing on relationships, deliverables, and performance metrics.
• Oversee invoicing, budget management, invoice approvals, payout reconciliations, and expenditure tracking.
• Develop and maintain partner tracking systems, attribution data, and quality assurance processes.
• Lead the creative development and approval process for brand and regulatory compliance, monitor for FTC violations and off-brand activities, and collaborate with legal for financial-product marketing claims.
• Analyze program performance and convert partner-level data into actionable insights for the growth team.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in managing affiliate or partner marketing programs, preferably within a consumer app, fintech, or growth-stage startup.
• Practical experience with Impact or a similar affiliate network, encompassing program setup, partner onboarding, tracking configurations, and commission management.
• Proven experience in establishing direct partnership programs from the ground up, negotiating deal structures, and executing contracts.
• Expertise in managing program finances, including budget tracking, invoice approvals, and payout reconciliations.
• A strong grasp of affiliate and partnership tracking mechanics, such as link attribution, postback configurations, pixel-based tracking, and MMP integrations.
• Hands-on experience in conducting tracking quality assurance and resolving attribution challenges.
• Familiarity with AppsFlyer or a similar MMP is advantageous; knowledge of GA4 is a plus.
• Experience in managing creative development and approval workflows, brand standards, FTC disclosure regulations, and financial marketing compliance.
• Understanding of creator and influencer partnership models.
• Ability to manage relationships with partners ranging from independent creators to large media companies, handling high volumes of partnerships, contracts, and projects.
