Advocacy & Communications Officer – Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and create content for various communication platforms to enhance the organization's external communications and public relations efforts.

• Assist in copywriting, graphic design, and content curation for social media channels, the website, and blogs to increase visibility of our projects and initiatives.

• Contribute to the organization’s branding by helping implement social media campaigns across various platforms.

• Facilitate external communications to broaden the organization's online presence by collaborating with local, national, and international journalists to aid in the development and execution of media coverage.

• Assist with documentation efforts, including video production and photography.

• A Bachelor's degree in any field (to be completed prior to the start date of the internship).

• Highly organized, dependable, and self-driven.

• Helpful and responsive, especially when addressing ad-hoc requests for assistance.

• Exceptional writing abilities with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Applications.
