This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver expert knowledge of Epic applications to managed services and consulting clients.
• Configure, optimize, troubleshoot, and provide support for Epic applications used in healthcare organizations.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to analyze business and clinical processes.
• Assess, recommend, and implement enhancements to the system.
• Supply technical expertise, facilitate system upgrades, and ensure adherence to industry regulations.
• Communicate proactively with clients, offering timely updates and managing expectations.
• Track decisions made and contribute to change management efforts.
• Partner with Client Success Managers on client inquiries and outcome data.
• Evaluate client needs, objectives, and existing system configurations to identify necessary modifications.
• Document business requirements and suggest solutions in alignment with regulatory, insurance, hospital service, and IT changes.
• Configure, test, and validate modifications to applications.
• Advise clients on enhanced functionality using best practices and recommendations from EHR vendors.
• Develop, test, train, and implement infrastructure, workflows, and policies.
• Test and verify deliverables to ensure they meet requirements, reliability, and accuracy.
• Document processes, analyze gaps, and provide actionable improvements.
• Offer client support during designated business hours and participate in after-hours on-call support when necessary.
• Provide Tier 2 maintenance and break/fix support to various clients under contracted service level agreements (SLAs).
• Deliver Tier 3 project support to multiple clients.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend effective solutions.
• Escalate issues to EHR and third-party vendors and validate the solutions proposed by vendors.
• Adhere to customer change-control and build-documentation policies.
• Identify potential engagement risks, create mitigation plans, and inform stakeholders of any delays or obstacles.
• Support quality service delivery by maintaining knowledge bases, workflows, and documentation.
• Report opportunities for engagement expansion and create materials to support sales initiatives.
• Assist in scoping potential new engagements.
• Track and report on measurable impacts of work for clients and Tegria.
• Maintain certifications and knowledge of EHR applications.
• Act as an application lead and mentor to less experienced team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a healthcare-related professional certification or licensure, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Typically, 8+ years of diverse experience as an Epic application analyst or in Epic consulting.
• Epic Compass Rose Certification is required.
• Additional certifications in Epic Healthy Planet and Epic Ambulatory are preferred.
• Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects or clients simultaneously.
• Expert-level knowledge of assigned applications and associated workflows.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical and business operations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Advanced individual contributor and subject matter expert with specialized skills and a comprehensive understanding of related areas.
• Understanding of interrelations among various functions, departments, and disciplines.
• W2 project-based consultants must supply a computing device that meets industry standards and security best practices.
• Must be productive, responsive, and dependable in a remote work environment.
• Able to adjust priorities and plans in response to changing workloads, circumstances, or feedback.
• Excellent ability to articulate thoughts clearly, persuasively, and tactfully.
• Capacity to simplify complex technical and business concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
