Advisor II, Learner Funding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Prepare and support the application and distribution of Federal Student Aid and military funds for both new and existing learners.

• Evaluate learner documentation for accuracy, compliance, completeness, and eligibility.

• Assess learner eligibility for Title IV, military, and various other funding programs.

• Deliver financial aid estimates and packaging while effectively communicating program obligations and financial responsibilities.

• Assist learners, families, and relevant stakeholders with funding alternatives and provide answers to funding inquiries.

• Review documents and resolve verification issues, C-codes, Unusual Enrollment History, conflicting data, and ISIR rejections.

• Make decisions on special circumstances and escalate cases for professional judgment evaluations.

• Update the Master Cohort List on a daily basis with incoming enrollment activities.

• Maintain learner records within the Student Information System.

• Complete verification processes and implement necessary ISIR corrections.

• Engage with COD and NSLDS systems.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality service for learners.

• Participate in Learner Funding meetings, coaching sessions, training, and team discussions.

• Attend meetings and conferences to enhance knowledge of financial aid policies.

• Uphold customer service standards and manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

• Contribute to functional projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience, ideally in a higher education institution or student funding role.

• Proven knowledge of Federal Student Aid and/or military funding.

• Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
