This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Develop technical plans that facilitate the future growth and operations of the ExamDeveloper product.

• Lead the solutioning process to define and estimate the required work for upcoming features.

• Review technical designs produced by others to ensure alignment with current and future architectural direction.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to comprehend customer needs and integrate their vision into your technical strategy.

• Serve as a trusted catalyst for achieving business objectives.

• Monitor the operational costs of ExamDeveloper to guarantee optimal resource usage (e.g., Azure cloud expenses).

• Establish technical standards for the engineering teams with the involvement and engagement of senior engineers.

• Share and clarify your decisions with other architects, managers, and business analysts within the VUE Technology organization and beyond.

• Build consensus around your technical vision while remaining receptive to differing viewpoints.

• Collaborate effectively across various roles and organizational boundaries.

• Address technical needs and concerns from the engineering team, providing clear explanations when necessary.

• Communicate effectively at varying levels of technical sophistication and understanding.

• Engage in development and QA work to maintain a connection and a robust understanding of the teams’ processes and challenges.

• Mentor other team members to support their growth and encourage their best work.

• Respond to urgent production issues as part of a rotating on-call engineering team.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a software developer.

• 2+ years of experience as a software architect.

• 2+ years of experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks (such as React, Svelte, etc.).

• 2+ years of experience with C# or comparable back-end programming languages.

• Experience in overseeing the work of technical staff, either formally or informally.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technology field.
