This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Perform thorough intake assessments, encompassing clinical, psychological, and risk evaluations.
• Evaluate eligibility and suitability for admission based on program guidelines and clinical insight.
• Engage with prospective clients and their families in person, via phone, or through telehealth to clarify treatment options, policies, and program expectations.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary clinical teams to review cases and make decisions regarding admissions.
• Prepare, manage, and maintain all documentation related to intake, including assessment reports, intake summaries, and admission paperwork.
• Offer referrals and alternative resources when the program is not clinically suitable or is at capacity.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure adherence to all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in admissions committees or case review meetings as necessary.
• Follow up with pending admissions to address questions and assist with arrangements such as scheduling and insurance coordination.
• Provide crisis intervention and clinical support as required during the intake procedure.
• Collaborate with outreach, marketing, and referral partners to enhance referral development and drive admissions growth.
• Monitor and report on admissions metrics (e.g., conversion rates, no-shows, demographics) and contribute to optimizing admissions workflows.
• Licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Psychologist) or eligible for licensure.
• Clinical experience in behavioral health specialties including mental health, substance use, or trauma.
• Previous experience in clinical admissions, call center settings, or customer service is required.
• Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and decision-making.
• Exceptional communication abilities to support clients and families during emotionally charged situations.
• Capacity to work effectively with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings and/or weekends as required.
• Experience working with youth and families in behavioral health, residential treatment, or substance use recovery environments.
• Understanding of mental and behavioral health systems of care.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms or admissions tracking systems.
