This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Panama.
• Responsible for the effective operation and management of assigned activities across all Operating Systems (Linux & Windows) at L2 & L3 levels, providing support to the current team.
• Planning maintenance tasks including server firmware upgrades, part replacements, and rack upkeep.
• Organizing cabling and interconnection activities to deliver solutions that meet service deployment requirements, in line with Millicom's cabling and connectivity policies.
• Assisting in the automation and delegation of tasks.
• Analyzing health, consumption, and performance reports.
• Reviewing periodic capacity and demand reports to generate recommendations and/or work plans.
• Planning the allocation and implementation of technological resources, including hardware assembly, cabling, and rack installation.
• Supporting both standard and complex facilities.
• Managing capacity and sourcing of servers and parts.
• Overseeing licensing and logical resources.
• Planning space allocation and electrical requirements.
• Managing and tracking case openings with suppliers.
• Designing, coordinating, and executing work plans of medium complexity.
• Executing non-standard changes and requirements.
• Diagnosing medium-difficulty incidents.
• Documenting and executing mid-difficulty level maintenance windows.
• Reporting and proposing improvements for platforms.
• Responding to feasibility inquiries regarding new features, platforms, or projects.
• Managing hardware and software assets, including operating systems.
• Diagnosing and resolving second-level complexity incidents (medium and high).
• Executing changes and non-standard requirements.
• Hardening or securing managed platforms.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Proven work experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux and Windows-based environments.
• Knowledge in:
• Operating Systems: Redhat, Windows, SuSE, Debian.
• Virtualization: VMware.
• Backup Solutions: IDPA, Veeam Backup.
• Monitoring Tools: Zabbix.
• Scripting/Patching: Ansible, The Foreman, ELK.
• Hardware: DELL and HP.
