Adjunct Faculty – Doctor of Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate consistent and diverse communication with students to cultivate an inviting and inclusive classroom environment.

• Design stimulating and interactive learning experiences that enhance student engagement, discussion, and development.

• Offer ongoing feedback and guidance to aid students' academic and professional growth.

• Deliver personalized instructional support and mentorship to students.

• Ensure availability to students through email, phone, text, office hours, and one-on-one appointments.

• Engage in scholarly activities aligned with Walden University's mission, in collaboration with academic leadership.

• Exhibit service to both the institution and the wider community.

• Take part in mandatory virtual and in-person faculty meetings, residencies, workshops, commencement ceremonies, and training sessions.

• Maintain a student-friendly schedule, including availability during evenings and weekends.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned and adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctorate in a relevant field of Education or a closely related discipline is mandatory.

• At least three years of teaching experience at the doctoral level is required, or a proven ability and willingness to foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that encourages student learning, discussion, and development.

• Experience in supporting doctoral research committees is essential.

• Preference will be given to candidates who can appreciate and consider diverse, and at times conflicting, viewpoints.

• A proven ability and willingness to provide tailored instructional support and guidance to students is critical.

• Application materials must explicitly demonstrate alignment with Walden University's mission and vision.

• Experience with doctoral capstone projects that address real-world issues in professional settings is preferred.

• Familiarity with distance learning methodologies is favored.

• Candidates with mentoring experience on doctoral capstone projects focused on evidence-based decision-making are preferred.

• Availability during evenings and weekends is necessary.

• Participation in mandatory virtual and in-person faculty meetings, residencies, workshops, commencement ceremonies, and training sessions is required.
