This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Teach general education courses within the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.
• Deliver courses including Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning.
• Guide students and create coursework for the classes assigned.
• Enhance instructional quality by exploring and implementing innovative teaching methodologies and techniques.
• Aid in the review and revision of syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Assess students' progress towards curriculum and course goals and communicate updates in a timely manner.
• Contribute to strategic planning and the evaluation of instructional initiatives.
• Keep records of student attendance and grades while assisting with program data collection.
• Utilize the Learning Management System to present relevant and up-to-date course content.
• Maintain continuous communication with students through office hours and electronic means.
• Engage in professional development and fulfill continuing education requirements for license renewal, if applicable.
• Stay informed about college updates.
• Take part in quarterly online faculty meetings.
• Execute other responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing.
• A Master's Degree is required.
• Completion of 15 course credits specifically in public speaking, communications, and/or linguistics.
• Proven experience in mentoring students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior online teaching experience is necessary, utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Documented experience in educational methodology relevant to teaching assignments, including educational theory and practice, and current concepts related to specific subjects or clinical practice.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A strong commitment to teaching and engaging with a multicultural and multigenerational student body.
