This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Drive advertising sales across various channels including print, digital, branded content, and podcast opportunities.
• Manage the entire deal lifecycle by independently sourcing leads, overseeing the pipeline, negotiating terms, and finalizing deals from inception to completion.
• Build and sustain relationships with music labels, artists, managers, and brands within the music sector.
• Sell podcast sponsorships and host-read integrations across AFM’s audio platforms, ensuring a good match between brands and programming.
• Generate new leads through proactive outreach, attendance at industry events, and leveraging your existing network.
• Establish long-term advertising partnerships across all AFM platforms.
• Sell and implement custom giveaway promotions and brand integrations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, and design teams to develop compelling advertising solutions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and propose innovative, creative advertising concepts.
• Consistently achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Minimum of 5 years of advertising sales experience in the media or entertainment sectors.
• Proven ability to manage deals from inception through completion, including lead generation and closing.
• Demonstrated success in selling to music labels, artists, and brand partners.
• Established network of contacts within the music industry, including labels, managers, and brands.
• Experience in selling across print, digital, and branded content platforms.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in podcast advertising or audio sponsorships.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven ability to close deals at market rates.
• Highly independent—comfortable in identifying and pursuing opportunities on your own.
• Creative thinker with the capability to pitch innovative advertising solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
