This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Execute and improve reporting, valuation, earnings analysis, FP&A, and hedging initiatives.

• Present financial outcomes to senior management.

• Create and implement reporting support for VM22, reinsurance, and business integration.

• Evaluate GAAP, statutory, and management reporting results, including reserves, earnings, and capital movements.

• Strengthen governance through change management, internal controls, and oversight of offshore partners.

• Collaborate with pricing, modeling, and corporate actuarial teams to address stakeholder needs and convey results.

• Examine results to uncover drivers, limitations, and opportunities for improvement.

• Develop and enhance analytical tools, reporting processes, and operational capabilities.

• Offer mentorship and project leadership to both onshore and offshore team members.

• Assist with financial reporting, reserve analytics, hedging, reinsurance, and business performance for Individual Annuities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or a comparable combination of education and experience) in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or a similar field is preferred.

• ASA designation is required; FSA is preferred.

• Practical actuarial business experience in the Individual Annuities domain is essential.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred.

• Experience in modeling, including change management, internal controls, and reviews, is required.

• FP&A and FIA financial reporting experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with GGY AXIS and Python is preferred.

• Excellent analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to manage and articulate reserve movements.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Background checks, along with employment, education, and licensing verification, are required.

• Must be bondable.
