This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide and cultivate the skills of Actuarial Analysts and Consultants through mentoring, training, coaching, and providing direction.

• Supervise actuarial analyses and assist in making informed business decisions.

• Ensure that projects are delivered punctually and meet high-quality standards.

• Build and sustain business relationships with both internal and external clients during project execution.

• Recruit and conduct interviews for potential new hires.

• Carry out performance evaluations and suggest actions regarding salaries, promotions, and terminations.

• Implement disciplinary measures in collaboration with management.

• Acknowledge employee accomplishments and provide guidance on performance-related matters.

• Review the work of Consultants and Analysts, ensuring successful project completion within established timelines.

• Oversee and mentor Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts.

• Manage team schedules and workloads, advising leadership on necessary trade-offs.

• Balance business outcomes with limited human resources effectively.

• Offer constructive challenges to leadership.

• Present analyses, recommendations, and pricing strategies to stakeholders, both internal and external.

• Translate enterprise strategies and priorities for team members.

• Travel as necessary for enterprise, divisional, team, and other in-person engagements.

• Foster company culture, employee participation, and cross-functional projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field with 5 years of post-bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis within commercial insurance, or a graduate degree in a relevant area with 3 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis in personal lines insurance.

• More than 3 years of experience in commercial insurance.

• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) designation.

• Strong decision-making capabilities, leadership qualities, and motivational skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of the market environment.

• Ability to coach, mentor, assess, and provide training and constructive feedback to professional staff.

• Over 3 years of experience managing teams in a supervisory role.

• Experience with account-level rating and pricing analyses for complex or high-value commercial insurance opportunities.

• Experience as a client-facing partner, delivering analyses, recommendations, and pricing strategies.

• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation capabilities.

• Proven capability in team leadership.

• Extensive knowledge of the Commercial Auto sector and the commercial insurance marketplace.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and juggle multiple projects.

• Capacity to create a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment.

• Ability to convey enterprise strategies and priorities to team members.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States.
