Actuarial Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist a Consulting Actuary in executing actuarial and consulting assignments for insurance firms and self-insured entities.

• Prepare indications for rate levels.

• Carry out analyses of class plans.

• Conduct competitive research.

• Perform benchmarking analyses.

• Offer support for rate/rule filings.

• Execute reserve analyses.

• Conduct analyses of self-insured retention and funding studies.

• Update reserve studies with new or additional data years.

• Conduct technical reviews of formulas and data entry processes.

• Extract and synthesize data from annual statements.

• Complete actuarial transmittal forms for rate and rule filings across all US jurisdictions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Completion of at least 1 Actuarial Exam.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Property/Casualty sector.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and SQL.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
