This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop and conduct actuarial analyses pertaining to rates and rating plans for designated lines of insurance.
• Assess pricing adequacy and formulate recommendations concerning modifications to rates and rating plans.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions, exhibits, and actuarial documentation.
• Aid in follow-up activities linked to regulatory reviews, challenges, or approval processes.
• Execute IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) reserve calculations along with additional reserving analyses.
• Perform quantitative modeling and statistical analyses to bolster business and actuarial decision-making.
• Examine operational and financial trends to pinpoint risks, opportunities, and performance insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance actuarial projects and business initiatives.
• Generate reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Contribute to enhancements and analytical efficiencies within the actuarial department.
• Assist with special actuarial projects and ad hoc analyses as required.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior actuarial team members when applicable.
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 2 years of experience as an Actuarial Assistant or in an actuarial/insurance analytics capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of actuarial analysis, insurance pricing, and reserving principles.
• Proficiency in rate analysis, rating plans, and regulatory filings.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and complex formulas.
• Intermediate SQL skills for data extraction and analysis are preferred.
