πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Assist with rating and pricing, valuation, healthcare economics, and financial forecasting.

β€’ Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to deliver technical actuarial support.

β€’ Collaborate closely with actuaries on health program evaluations.

β€’ Provide support to Network Management, Underwriting, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Healthcare teams.

β€’ Conduct actuarial research, experience studies, statistical analyses, and calculations.

β€’ Compute premiums and reserves for both new and existing insurance plans.

β€’ Offer assistance to senior analysts or actuaries.

β€’ Retrieve and verify data for rate filings and actuarial models.

β€’ Enhance models and analyze reasons for variations in calculated factors.

β€’ Assess the effects of changes in product lines and segments.

β€’ Update internal stakeholders on filing status and submit rate filings to NCDOI and CMS.

β€’ Gather and confirm data for monthly reports and UCL and ALR calculations.

β€’ Aid in valuation by executing the ALR model and confirming results.

β€’ Conduct research on ALR assumption studies and UCL estimates.

β€’ Distribute established reports and address inquiries.

β€’ Examine trends and anomalies.

β€’ Carry out control activities supporting Enterprise Risk Management.

β€’ Provide analytical support for corporate and departmental initiatives.

β€’ Maintain good standing in the Actuarial Development Program.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree or advanced degree as necessary.

β€’ A minimum of 2 years of relevant actuarial experience.

β€’ Related experience may be taken into account.

β€’ Completion of at least three exams toward the eventual ASA designation.

β€’ Additional relevant experience may compensate for minimum exam requirements.

β€’ ASA or further ASA exams may replace minimum experience requirements.

β€’ Must be authorized to work in the United States.
