This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver frontline service and support to both internal and external customers.
• Enhance customer service performance while minimizing response times.
• Assist AR Specialists to enable a focus on collection activities.
• Address infrastructure needs of the Credit Department and provide support to Management.
• Exhibit knowledge of the company’s operations, including Strategic and National accounts, in-store professional accounts, government, and fleet accounts.
• Handle incoming phone calls, chats, and email correspondence to achieve daily productivity targets.
• Process and release credit holds in accordance with the receipt of funds or customer payment commitments.
• Resolve customer claims and disputed items effectively.
• Process credit applications, reach out to credit references, and establish credit limits within authorized parameters.
• Conduct basic account reconciliations related to orders, delivery notices, and cash applications.
• Provide constructive feedback on processes to mitigate recurring errors and issues.
• Assist with AR cleanup initiatives involving offsets, write-offs, refunds, and related activities.
• Engage in continuous improvement projects.
• Escalate requests that fall outside the role or scope to Leadership.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a credit and collections or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and various necessary business software systems.
• Strong decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of internal and external management through various communication methods.
• Capability to define problems, identify solutions, and ensure follow-through to completion.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
• Competence in handling customers in sometimes challenging and confrontational situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building rapport, listening, and questioning abilities.
• Must be available to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
