This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct and manage the organization’s billing, collections, and accounts receivable operations.
• Ensure precise and timely end-to-end invoicing for customers.
• Analyze contracts, amendments, renewals, credits, and special billing agreements.
• Address billing inconsistencies relating to subscription terms, pricing, usage-based charges, and contract changes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Accounting, Legal, Customer Success, and Operations on contract and billing matters.
• Oversee accounts receivable, collections, reconciliations, and resolution of disputes.
• Create collection strategies, track payment trends, identify potential risks, and manage escalations.
• Spearhead enhancements to contract-to-cash processes, data quality, system controls, and scalable workflows.
• Improve billing system functionality, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
• Reconcile contracts, CRM records, billing systems, and accounting documentation.
• Support billing accuracy, revenue recognition alignment, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Design and evaluate reports and KPIs related to billing, collections, cash flow, contract compliance, and operational performance.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the skills of billing and collections team members.
• Travel to orientation sessions, industry/company events, or onsite meetings as necessary.
• Execute additional assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Order-to-Cash, Revenue Operations, or associated financial operations.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams, setting performance expectations, and achieving operational results.
• Comprehensive knowledge of subscription billing, accounts receivable, collections, contract management, and revenue-related processes.
• Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and operationalizing customer contracts, amendments, renewals, and intricate billing arrangements.
• Capability to navigate uncertainty, lead change initiatives, influence stakeholders, and implement scalable process enhancements.
• History of developing scalable processes, enhancing data quality, and fostering organizational growth.
• Familiarity with SaaS, subscription-based, recurring revenue, or equivalent business models.
• Cross-functional experience encompassing Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Operations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis, trend identification, report development, and supporting informed business choices.
• Preferred experience with ERP, CRM, and subscription billing platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Chargebee, Zuora, Stripe, or similar.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles is preferred.
• Familiarity with internal controls, financial audits, SOX compliance, or similar governance requirements is preferred.
• Experience in leading projects, process enhancements, system implementations, or operational transformations is preferred.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Capacity to handle proprietary and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 10%.
• Annual base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000 USD.
