Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Accurately process vendor invoices and purchase orders, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely payments.

• Investigate and resolve credit balances and discrepancies in payments with vendors.

• Manage the research of stale-dated checks, stop payments, voids, and reissuance.

• Act as the primary contact for vendors regarding payments and payment terms on a daily basis.

• Process employee expense reports and assist with the corporate card and charity matching initiatives.

• Contribute to month-end closing, monthly accounts payable reporting, and annual 1099 processing.

• Maintain accounts payable files in an audit-ready state and identify process gaps for the AP Manager.

• Employ AI tools to enhance the automation of invoice processing, coding, and vendor communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting operations.

• Proficient in Excel and strong skills in Microsoft Office.

• Effective communicator across all organizational levels.

• Strong customer service instincts with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Self-motivated individual who can manage urgent requests while maintaining accuracy.

• Practical experience in using AI tools to automate or enhance workflows.

• Proven track record of using AI tools and technologies to refine workflows, improve decision-making, or foster innovation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience; experience with multicurrency entities is a plus.
