Accounts Payable Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist with the onboarding of vendors and ensure vendor master records are maintained accurately.

• Evaluate and reconcile corporate credit card transactions along with their supporting documentation.

• Assess employee expense reports for adherence to company policies, proper coding, and necessary approvals.

• Prepare month-end journal entries and support cash reconciliation processes.

• Keep organized documentation for audits, compliance reporting, and internal control measures.

• Offer daily assistance with invoice processing, vendor inquiries, payment activities, and other accounts payable functions.

• Contribute to special projects and other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable, staff accounting, or a similar role, with a strong grasp of basic accounting principles.

• Proficient in Excel and data analysis, with preferred experience in NetSuite and Ramp.

• Excellent computer proficiency, particularly with Google Suite.

• Keen attention to detail and accuracy, with the capability to juggle competing priorities, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines in a dynamic business setting.

• Ability to manage sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.

• Proven strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to foster team building across a remote workforce.

• Experience in supporting month-end closing procedures and documentation is preferred.

• An Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
