Accounting Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Serve as a product and platform specialist for the customer base.

• Act as the communication bridge between business owners, in-house accountants, and accounting firms.

• Grasp the challenges users face on a daily basis.

• Investigate inquiries and offer solutions or answers.

• Refer issues to the technical teams when required.

• Assist in-house accountants and those from accounting firms in importing their data into Pennylane and managing their migration.

• Gain knowledge about the product, the company, and its departments through Pennylane Academy.

• Receive and assess accounting-related inquiries.

• Monitor tickets until full resolution is achieved.

• Manage progressively complex customer inquiries.

• Develop and refresh customer support resources.

• Share accounting expertise and practical experience with team members.

• Provide systematic feedback to the product teams.

• Recognize areas needing improvement and spearhead enhancement projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Formal education in accounting (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS Assistant Manager for SMEs, Master’s degree in Accounting, Control and Audit, or Bachelor’s degree in Administrative and Accounting Management).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, preferably including at least three tax seasons.

• Experience working directly with business owners is advantageous.

• Interest in innovative work tools and new technologies.

• Self-driven, with the capability to independently resolve issues and find solutions.

• Familiarity with Pennylane is a plus.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Strong written communication and instructional skills.

• Ability to comprehend and address customer needs while delivering exceptional service.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility in adapting to swift changes in the platform.

• Willingness to learn and stay informed about product developments.

• Must reside in Europe; the employer does not offer visa sponsorship and does not hire outside Europe.
