Accounting Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and support accounting professionals by providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.

• Review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Oversee team workloads, prioritize deadlines, and uphold high standards for client deliverables.

• Act as a reliable resource for clients by addressing complex accounting inquiries and offering valuable financial insights.

• Identify areas for enhancing accounting workflows, fortifying internal processes, and boosting team efficiency.

• Collaborate with leadership to execute improvements and facilitate ongoing growth.

• Assist small business owners in comprehending their financial situations to make informed business decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience managing accounting professionals and reviewing their work.

• Experience in a CPA firm, CAS firm, outsourced accounting firm, or a similar multi-client accounting setting.

• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including the review of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing.

• Strong skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving.

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Candidates must reside in the United States within the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.

• QuickBooks Online certification is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with small business advisory services or law firm accounting is an advantage.
