This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Prepare and verify the accuracy of month-end reports, journal entries, and schedules.
• Analyze individual account activities and generate analysis schedules.
• Manage month-end close organization and maintain document retention.
• Gather and evaluate data for compliance reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of sales tax returns and ensure compliance with sales tax regulations.
• Create cost analysis reports for various projects.
• Help in managing lien releases and payment applications.
• Support the preparation of information and collection of supporting documents for external audits.
• Input vendor invoices into the accounts payable system.
• Aid in documenting and testing internal controls.
• Assist with customer billing and ensure accurate maintenance of customer accounts.
• Contribute to general departmental duties as required.
• Must be enrolled as a student and registered for a minimum of 12 credits.
• Preferred: pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business/economics with an accounting minor, or a related field.
• Preferred: sophomore, junior, or senior standing in school.
• Strong academic performance in undergraduate studies.
• Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
• Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be included with the application.
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Self-motivated individuals are preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Willingness to learn is necessary.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position.
