Accounting Specialist – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately process a high volume of vendor invoices in a timely manner

• Facilitate the complete accounts payable cycle, which includes coding invoices, obtaining approvals, and processing payments

• Audit and review employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies

• Reconcile transactions from corporate credit cards and handle employee reimbursements

• Address inquiries from vendors and employees regarding payments promptly and professionally

• Maintain comprehensive vendor records, which includes onboarding and tax documentation

• Support month-end closing activities, including accounts payable accruals and account reconciliations

• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely settlement of outstanding invoices

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies in invoices and approval processes

• Prepare documentation and respond to requests to assist with audits

• Contribute to additional accounting and finance projects as needed

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting

• Strong grasp of accounting principles and best practices in accounts payable

• Experience in processing employee expenses and reconciling corporate credit cards

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday, Oracle, SAP, or similar

• Experience with BillPay platforms (e.g., Ramp, Bill.com, etc.)

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities

• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
