Accounting Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee multifaceted accounting and finance initiatives from the initial planning stage to full implementation.

• Propel enhancements in processes related to month-end closures, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accounts payable, treasury, and financial reporting.

• Create and standardize accounting practices and internal controls documentation.

• Manage accounting workflows for system upgrades and process automation projects.

• Assist in enhancements of ERP, CRM, and financial systems.

• Aid in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Spot opportunities to optimize and refine the financial closing process.

• Evaluate account reconciliations and enhance accompanying documentation.

• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and their supporting schedules.

• Help fortify internal controls and accounting guidelines.

• Provide support for external audits across various jurisdictions.

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and relevant accounting standards.

• Examine accounting workflows and suggest improvements to processes.

• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and quality of accounting operations.

• Spearhead initiatives aimed at automation and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Product, and IT teams to enhance financial processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA preferred (or currently in the process of obtaining).

• 5–8 years of advancing accounting experience.

• Experience in public accounting is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP.

• Demonstrated experience in leading projects or initiatives focused on process improvement.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
