Accounting & Operations Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Serve as a product and accounting subject-matter expert for clients and their accountants.

• Act as a bridge between business leaders, internal accountants, and accounting firms.

• Comprehend the challenges users face on a daily basis.

• Investigate inquiries and provide appropriate answers or solutions.

• Escalate issues to technical teams when necessary.

• Assist in-house accountants and accounting firms with importing their data into Pennylane.

• Complete training through Pennylane Academy and continually enhance product knowledge.

• Receive, assess, and resolve accounting-related inquiries.

• Monitor tickets until full resolution is achieved.

• Manage increasingly complex customer inquiries.

• Develop and update customer-facing help resources.

• Share accounting expertise and practical experience with team members.

• Communicate customer feedback and observed usage trends to the Product teams.

• Identify improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to boost team efficiency.


⛳️ Requirements

• An accounting qualification such as BTS CGO, DCG, BTS Assistant Manager for SMEs, Master’s in Accounting, Control and Audit, or Bachelor’s in Administrative and Accounting Management.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting firm, ideally covering at least three tax seasons.

• Direct experience collaborating with business leaders is advantageous.

• A keen interest in innovative work tools and emerging technologies.

• Self-driven with the capability to independently solve problems and identify solutions.

• Familiarity with Pennylane is a plus.

• Professional proficiency in English is required.

• Strong written communication abilities and the capacity to clearly explain concepts.

• Aptitude for understanding and addressing customer needs while delivering excellent service.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility to adapt to rapid product changes.

• A willingness to learn and keep abreast of product developments.

• Right to work in France is necessary; the company does not provide visa sponsorship.
