This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive accounting operations for manufacturing entities in the US, Mexico, and Canada, along with other functional areas.
• Convert leadership and business priorities into actionable work plans.
• Manage timelines and coordinate resources effectively.
• Act as the primary business liaison for the designated area.
• Deliver accounting insights regarding significant transactions and financial outcomes.
• Take ownership of established accounting processes and associated North American legal entities from start to finish.
• Supervise the monthly and quarterly reporting cycle for the designated scope.
• Ensure the application of accounting policies and judgements throughout North America.
• Propel initiatives for automation, process redesign, and standardization.
• Guarantee the consistent application of internal controls and governance frameworks across the region.
• Provide direction, set priorities, and establish clear expectations for team members.
• Promote team member development through leadership as an individual contributor.
• Serve as the central point of contact for both external and internal auditors within North America.
• Manage audit documentation and ensure alignment.
• 7–10+ years of experience in accounting.
• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong grasp of COGS, Inventory, PP&E, Shipping, and Labor accounting.
• Experience in managing functional areas or legal entities.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
• Experience within a public company environment.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a robust internal control and audit environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Leases, Capital Assets/Impairment, and Inventory.
• Understanding of North American indirect tax regulations.
• Significant initiative with the capability to foresee process challenges and independently drive solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft products.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Strong interest in utilizing AI and automation to enhance accounting efficiencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA certification is required; CMA or candidates actively pursuing CPA will also be considered.
• Current work authorization or H-1B status not subject to the stated filing fee may be considered; new H-1B petitions subject to the $100,000 filing fee are not sponsored.
• Remote position available within North America.
• Occasional travel required, estimated quarterly to Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Waltham, MA.
