Accounting Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assess premium-related financial transactions, while compiling necessary coverage and financial documents.

• Create premium invoices in accordance with policy terms and coverage, ensuring precise calculations and compliance with underwriting guidelines.

• Accept premium payments and produce reports detailing collections, outstanding balances, aging receivables, and overdue accounts.

• Keep precise records of policyholders, premiums, and payments in the company’s database or management system.

• Examine records and client information, addressing policyholder inquiries regarding invoices and billing discrepancies.

• Reconcile premium payments with policy records and pinpoint discrepancies.

• Investigate any irregularities in premium accounting records and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Execute data entry, policy issuance, and modifications to policy information.

• Identify potential enhancements for premium accounting efficiency through automation, system improvements, or workflow optimization.

• Support internal and external audits by supplying documentation, reconciliations, and explanations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in premium accounting or accounting within the Insurance Industry is preferred.

• Experience in premium accounting or general accounting in the insurance sector.

• Capability to produce accurate premium invoices and process payments through various methods.

• Understanding of underwriting guidelines and accounting principles.

• Proficiency in reconciling premium payments with policy records.

• Ability to assist with internal and external audits through documentation, reconciliations, and explanations.

• Competence in performing data entry, policy issuance, and modifications to policy information in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
