Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee finance operations encompassing Project Accounting, Reconciliation, General Accounting, and Accounts Payable.

• Guarantee precise and prompt delivery in accordance with company accounting policies and established service levels.

• Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure timely completion of reconciliations, accounting entries, and financial reporting.

• Uphold financial governance and internal controls.

• Assist with audit, tax, and compliance obligations.

• Detect and address issues as they arise.

• Lead and nurture finance teams.

• Establish expectations, assess performance, and encourage both individual and team growth.

• Track operational performance through KPIs and service standards.

• Prioritize tasks and facilitate consistent service delivery.

• Promote standardization and ongoing improvement.

• Streamline processes, enhance controls, and boost efficiency.

• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners, operational groups, and finance stakeholders.

• Handle escalations effectively.

• Identify areas for improvement and optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.

• Robust understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS standards.

• Proven experience in leading finance teams within a multi-entity, international context.

• Familiarity with working in a Shared Service Centre setting.

• Practical experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred).

• Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills essential for successful collaboration across departments.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Problem-solving attitude and basic technological proficiency.
