Accounting Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in a twelve-week full-time internship starting in May or June 2027.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations that support monthly financial statements and analyses.

• Produce reports for month-end and quarter-end financial reporting.

• Conduct the annual asset review.

• Support insurance industry regulatory reporting efforts.

• Assist with financial examinations and audits.

• Contribute to ad-hoc reporting and analysis tasks.

• Implement process enhancements, including those identified independently.

• Participate in the development of policies, procedures, and practices to strengthen internal controls.

• Acquire practical accounting experience with Cambia's Financial Accounting and Reporting Team.

• May be considered for full-time positions following the internship.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of college education, pursuing a degree in Accounting or Business with an Accounting focus; preferably within one year of graduation.

• Completion of the Intermediate Accounting course sequence or a comparable equivalent.

• A minimum overall GPA of 3.2 is required.

• An Accounting GPA of at least 3.4 is required.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.

• Ability to think critically and make informed decisions based on analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• U.S. work authorization is mandatory.

• A background check is necessary.

• A personal mobile device is required for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• A wired internet connection, excluding satellite or cellular options, with a minimum of 5Mb upload and 10Mb download speeds is required for work-from-home arrangements.
