This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute a range of accounting responsibilities related to documenting the company's financial activities and reporting on them.
• Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies.
• Track and document transactions in the general ledger in alignment with GAAP and company standards.
• Maintain the subledger and conduct an annual audit on fixed assets.
• Review and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Oversee the resolution of discrepancies between the GL and subsidiary ledger accounts.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures to enhance controls and efficiency.
• Support management with financial analysis.
• Prepare current period and recast items for financial reporting, including all SEC filing documents.
• Coordinate with external parties for external reporting obligations.
• Conduct quarterly impairment analysis, including the preparation of supporting models and documentation.
• Perform contract reviews for Finance to evaluate accounting implications and ensure appropriate treatment.
• Create the monthly financial reporting package.
• Maintain and prepare comparable sales reporting, including ad hoc requests and support for FP&A-led planning activities.
• Manage the lease accounting process, including the review and validation of all retail, storage, and other lease activities.
• Conduct final reviews of the lease population for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare supporting schedules for lease-related disclosures.
• Oversee the monthly bonus accrual process, including calculation support, input review, and coordination with FP&A/Finance during the close.
• Manage stock-based compensation accounting, including the accounting for equity grants and vesting activities.
• Review and reconcile stock compensation expenses.
• Oversee grant and vesting data along with contributions.
• Develop and supervise two individual contributors.
• Review month-end accounting entries.
• Oversee and review the lease process, supporting the annual operating lease planning activities.
• Oversee and review the roll-forward of SEC documents.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 7-10 years of general accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP or FAS is preferred.
• An active CPA license is preferred.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to manage highly confidential information.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, handling situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness.
• Flexible and adaptable, capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
