Director, Accounting Services – Contracts and Entertainment Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Ensure that departmental and functional procedures, internal controls, and reporting adhere to company standards, corporate policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

• Oversee specific areas within the overall operation of the department.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting concepts, methodologies, standards, principles, and technologies.

• Implement current and emerging best practices and industry trends pertaining to contracts and the entertainment sector.

• Act as an Accounting thought leader and a technical resource for the department, division, and/or organization.

• Support and execute the strategic plan for the Finance Projects Department in alignment with the strategic vision of MGM Resorts International Finance Shared Services Center.

• Collaborate with leaders to establish strategic direction.

• Guide and influence personnel, processes, and resources while fostering relationships with business leaders and partners.

• Propose strategy and design implementation for new business initiatives or increased business volumes and integrate them into existing workflows.

• Manage SLA expectations, performance metrics, and KPIs; set objectives, monitor metrics, conduct analysis and reporting, and improve processes.

• Build, develop, and engage team members to ensure a high-quality, high-performing team.

• Support company strategies and business plans to fulfill individual and departmental performance requirements.

• Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on overarching business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in finance or a closely related field.

• Strong background in financial modeling and analysis.

• Direct prior experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting.

• Previous experience in a similar corporate environment.
