Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

• Oversee multiple clients while ensuring high-quality service and adhering to agreed-upon turnaround times.

• Proactively and consistently contributes to initiatives aimed at streamlining and improving the customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience in US/Global Finance with excellent communication skills.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a relevant professional accounting qualification.

• Strong understanding of Cash and Accrual accounting principles.

• Familiarity with the US GAAP reporting framework or alternative frameworks such as IFRS/IND-AS.

• Demonstrated expertise in various accounting processes and activities, including AP/AR, payroll, intercompany transactions, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

• Proficient in day-to-day accounting tasks such as recording Bank/CC transactions, processing AP bills, AR invoices, and managing the capitalization/depreciation of fixed assets, as well as accruals and journal entries for prepaid & deferred revenue.

• Capable of interpreting customer contracts and setting up sales invoices accordingly. Knowledge of ASC 606, IFRS 15, or IND-AS 115 is advantageous.

• Experience with the procedures for filing monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales/Use tax returns in the US and claiming refunds.

• Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, cash flow statements, account analyses, and providing support for year-end audits.

• Develop management reporting packages (Financial Statements) and relevant working papers/schedules/supporting documentation (e.g., Bank/CC reconciliations, depreciation schedules, amortization schedules for prepaid/accruals).

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online.

• Additional experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Ramp, or Brex is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
