Accounting Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with automotive repair clients to evaluate, enhance, and standardize their accounting, financial management, and operational procedures.

• Travel to client locations to perform reviews of accounting, financial, and operational processes.

• Assess and document existing workflows related to accounting, financial reporting, revenue capture, receivables, payables, budgeting, and operational efficiency.

• Analyze accounting systems and chart-of-accounts structures to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.

• Examine and clarify profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Convert financial concepts into actionable recommendations for shop owners, leadership teams, and operational managers.

• Design optimized future-state accounting and operational processes.

• Develop tailored project plans for clients, including timelines, milestones, stakeholders, and success metrics.

• Implement and oversee monthly action plans and performance objectives.

• Assist in the implementation of standard operating procedures.

• Track client progress through reporting and KPI monitoring.

• Facilitate monthly insight and action meetings with clients.

• Conduct both web-based and on-site training sessions.

• Promote the adoption and effective use of CCC solutions and business tools.

• Relay project status, risks, findings, and recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders.

• Address implementation-related challenges.

• Perform post-implementation reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Create and maintain ELEVATE accounting materials, playbooks, workflows, action plans, training resources, and client deliverables.

• Contribute to customer retention and renewal by fostering sustained performance improvement and advisory engagement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Background in accounting, finance, business advisory, consulting, or operational enhancement.

• Strong comprehension of chart of accounts structure, accounting system workflows, sales and revenue recognition, financial statements, profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems is preferred.

• Experience in the automotive, collision repair, insurance, or related industries is highly preferred.

• Proven ability to analyze financial and operational data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

• Experience in developing and executing project plans, action plans, and strategic initiatives.

• Demonstrated capability to influence change and encourage adoption within client organizations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

• Proficiency in explaining accounting and financial concepts in a clear, practical, and client-friendly manner.

• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and follow-through.

• High level of attention to detail and quality of documentation.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, client-facing environment.

• Comfortable balancing strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on implementation support.

• Strong executive presence with experience delivering presentations both virtually and in person.

• Capability to communicate insights, recommendations, financial concepts, and operational improvement opportunities clearly.

• Experience in creating client-facing deliverables, presentation materials, reports, and training content.

• Ability to facilitate constructive discussions with shop owners, leadership teams, accounting staff, and operational managers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, OneNote, Teams, and Adobe.

• CCC ONE experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau is an advantage.

• Experience utilizing accounting systems, financial reports, spreadsheets, and KPI dashboards to support business analysis and recommendations.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.

• Valid driver's license and capability to travel to client locations nationwide.

• Ability to work independently with clients while ensuring strong alignment with internal account teams and ELEVATE leadership.
