This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Compile monthly financial statements and reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account data.
• Oversee the management of the general ledger (GL).
• Handle accounts payable for designated programs.
• Evaluate accounts payable processing and reporting.
• Generate monthly journal entries and allocations.
• Process and report on fixed assets.
• Manage and assess AMEX reports and related files.
• Support billing ATP review processes.
• Separate and distribute AP checks.
• Assist with client and insurance payment entries into HER.
• Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
• Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Audit and confirm the accuracy of documents.
• Create internal management information reports, including program performance analyses, expense evaluations, and budget forecasts.
• Liaise with external audit firms, banks, lessors, and credit card companies.
• Integrate financial planning principles with accounting information systems to analyze and report on costs, utilization, and performance metrics.
• Monitor cash flow activities to ensure financial plans are in line with organizational objectives.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Proficiency in preparing financial records, reports, journal entries, and allocations.
• Familiarity with general ledger and accounts payable functions.
• Capability to process and report fixed assets.
• Experience with AMEX reports and files is essential.
• Competence in performing account reconciliations and financial closing processes.
• Ability to audit and validate documents.
• Skills in preparing expense analyses, budget forecasts, and management reports.
• Proficient in working with accounting information systems.
• Ability to monitor cash flow and ensure financial strategies align with organizational goals.
