Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete accounting operations for a collection of Australian SME clients utilizing Xero.

• Conduct daily transaction coding, perform bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Manage prepayments, accruals, depreciation schedules, journal entries, intercompany transactions, loan accounts, and multi-entity eliminations.

• Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

• Direct the month-end closing procedures.

• Prepare monthly management reports, which include Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Statements of Cash Flows, variance analysis, and operational KPIs.

• Draft commentary on performance factors, cost increases, and margin vulnerabilities.

• Create and maintain rolling 12-month three-way cash flow forecasts.

• Track working capital and assist in scenario modeling.

• Deliver recommendations and provide financial insights to client founders.

• Process payroll for clients using Xero Payroll and oversee STP Phase 2 reporting and finalizations.

• Reconcile and submit superannuation guarantee payments.

• Prepare BAS/IAS working papers and year-end documentation files.

• Implement contemporary tools, Xero add-ons, AI technologies, and workflow automation.

• Enhance operating procedures, checklists, and reporting templates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a Filipino (Philippines-based) candidate.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Ideally, possess a professional qualification or be in the process of obtaining a recognized accounting credential.

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience.

• Proficient experience with Xero.

• Background in supporting Australian businesses.

• Strong comprehension of Australian accounting standards.

• Familiarity with BAS, GST, and Australian tax regulations.

• Extensive experience in month-end reporting.

• Experience in preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with cash flow forecasting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.

• Availability for meetings and collaboration during core AEST or PHT business hours.

• Disclosure of any current ongoing roles or client commitments.
